How do I join the North Oakland
Waves Spring &/or Summer Long Course Swim Program?
1) Download the
Spring Session/ Summer Long
Course Registration form and turn it in along
with payment to the North Oakland Family YMCA courtesy desk. If you
are new to NOW this summer and are not a 2008 registered member of USA
swimming, download a
USA Registration Form and bring
this
when you
register.
2) Register early and save!!! Payment is due in full by April 1st
for the 9 & up Spring Session or 8 & Under Spring Session.
After April 1st add $25.00. For the combo, add 40 after April 1st. Payment
is due in full for Summer Long Course by May 19th. After May 19th, add 25.00.
Payment is due in full for 8 & under Summer session by June 2nd. After June
2nd add 25.00. The YMCA accepts checks, credit card, and cash. Financial assistance is available through the
YMCA, please inquire at the courtesy counter.

USA Registration Fee - $52.00
additional fee for those who are not registered as USA swimmer. Or $1.00 if
you need to transfer a USA membership from another swim team.
Meet Escrow Accounts - If you plan to
swim in any long course meets, a $50 meet escrow
fee due at the time of registration. Either write a check out
to the North Oakland Family YMCA or the escrow amount may be put on a credit card at the North Oakland
Family YMCA Courtesy desk. This will streamline the entry process for all entries
all
summer. Each family may enter a meet from the comfort of their own home - select
entries via Direct Athletics online and their meet fees will be
deducted from their escrow account. When the account gets low, simply write
an additional check out to the YMCA, drop it in the file at a practice
designated for "Meet Escrows Accounts" and your athlete will be set again for
future meets. If you have multiple children on the team,
only one escrow account will be established per family. If you do not plan
to enter any meets over the summer, this will not be necessary. Any unused escrow money with either be
returned or applied to the 2008 - 2009 Winter Swim Season.
